About alternative fuels (AFR)

All societies produce waste, and even if a lot can be reused or recycled, there is still some material that must be handled and dealt with in some other way. The handling of such residual products is a challenge facing society, but we can contribute one solution by using materials as an source of energy or raw materials.

Manufacturing cement requires a high temperature. Usually coal and other fossil fuels are used, but increased environmental awareness, tougher environmental demands and rising fuel costs have led to a greater focus on the use of alternative fuels. Cement kilns operate at high, stable temperatures, which makes them particularly suitable for the incineration of alternative fuels.

By using residual products, we can replace our use of fossil fuels and finite natural resources, while at the same time helping society to reduce the volume of waste that is taken to landfill sites.
